The ATD Training Certificate content is practical and grounded in the real world, not just academic theory. This program focuses on what happens before, during, and after you deliver training, and what to do if training is not the right solution. With input from ATD’s Competency Study, we identified the competencies required by the most successful practitioners. The Training Certificate Program is aligned with the Training Delivery Area of Expertise in the ATD Competency Model. Developed for participants new to instructional design or for those who want to gain a comprehensive skill set, this is the complete workshop for designing outcome-based training. The program content is based on key knowledge and actions defined by the ATD Competency Model Area of Expertise for Instructional Design. You will leave knowing how to design a complete program that aligns with your business goals, including participant guides, instructor guides, and other materials. In addition, you will have an opportunity to work on the design and development of your own training program throughout the workshop.

Software programs can be intimating, but this certificate program takes the mystery out of using Storyline. You will quickly realize how easy—and fun—it is to use. Facilitated by experts in Storyline, with sample scenarios exclusive to ATD, you’ll take away the latest and most up-to-date steps, tips, and tricks for using Articulate Storyline. Leave this interactive workshop with a complete 15-minute course that you developed yourself using all the major features of Storyline.

Learning professionals must demonstrate strong consulting skills to successfully guide their organizations toward optimal performance. Ensure your ability to practice the most effective behaviors and processes for internal consulting within your organization. You will learn a comprehensive, six-step change model that can be applied to your current situation.

The workshop provides concrete steps to improve project management skills and a method that is repeatable yet flexible. The Adobe Captivate Certificate program is a practical workshop that covers everything you need to know to create visually rich, artistic, and highly interactive customized e-learning. Discover how easy it is to use this powerful software when you apply best practices in production techniques that significantly cut development time. Learn how to effectively interact with other software programs, including Microsoft Word, to optimize your design. With the help of gurus in Adobe Captivate, leave this up-to-date workshop knowing how to apply in-depth development techniques on a tight budget, using effective simulations, quality quizzes and assessments, and standard objects and widgets. You will also learn to insert images and record, import, and edit audio.

Delivering training in this environment requires a facilitator to engage their audience and create interactivity in non-traditional ways, be sensitive to how they use their voice, and be comfortable multitasking in a new technical and logistical environment. This online program, presented by ATD in partnership with synchronous learning experts InSync Training, provides ten hours of live, online instruction. Participants will learn to maximize the engagement of remote participants and manage the logistics of facilitating synchronous learning. The workshop also includes a two-hour practice facilitation session where each participant, along with an assigned partner, is given a piece of content to deliver live via the virtual classroom using the techniques that were modeled during the previous synchronous sessions. Participants will leave this program with the skills and confidence to successfully facilitate synchronously learning events.

This program supplies participants with an ATD exclusive model for creating leadership development programs. The term synchronous means happening at precisely the same time, and refers to an online learning experience in which an instructor and a group of participants speak and interact in an online classroom. Designing learning for this environment requires a different way of thinking about participant engagement and interactivity. But the fact is most virtual classroom platforms provide the tools to allow participants to collaborate on meaningful group activities. This program, presented by ATD in partnership with synchronous learning experts InSync Training, provides twelve hours of live, online instruction. Templates for a facilitator guide and participant guide, and an interactivity planning tool will be provided. Participants will leave this program with skills and tools to successfully design synchronous training programs, including establishing learner engagement, creating collaborative activities, and creating appropriate instructional materials for a synchronous program.

This unique ATD program uses a blended learning approach to model the concepts taught in the workshop. You’ll begin by completing a pre-work assignment that you’ll continue to work with throughout the course. Following the classroom-based workshop, you’ll reconvene with your peers in an online session. Throughout the learning experience, collaborate with your fellow participants and the facilitator(s) in an interactive discussion forum. And finally, one of the most important elements of the workshop is the opportunity to bring your own training program to adapt to the blended format through various application activities.
