Mindfulness is a way of learning to live more fully in the present. With mindfulness practice, participants learn to release worries about the future, release regrets about the past and focus with a sense of calm acceptance on the present moment. There is clinical evidence that shows that Mindful Meditation stimulates the parasympathetic nervous system or calming center of the brain and decreases the level of stress hormones that ignite the ‘fight or flight’ response. This four-week course is designed to help participants learn how to meditate to reduce stress, improve sleep, enhance their immune response, and bring more focus to their day-to-day activities.
